IAIM-Online-Training

Kuwait online

The IAIM Instructor Training offers a meaningful opportunity to support parents in learning how to communicate with their babies in a loving and respectful way through nurturing touch and massage.
IAIM Instructor training:
The internationally recognized 4-day training programme developed by Vimala McClure is delivered worldwide by IAIM Certified Trainers. Trainings that require translation are extended to five days. When offered online, the training is always conducted via live stream. IAIM Trainers share a deep passion and long-standing commitment to this work. Over many years, they have maintained high standards in all the countries they serve, ensuring the continuity and integrity of the philosophy.
Knowledge base:
The IAIM Instructor Training includes a comprehensive 15-point core curriculum that focuses on facilitating parent–baby classes and adapting practices to support child development from birth to one year, promoting secure attachment experiences. The curriculum also covers adaptations for babies with additional needs, babies born prematurely, and the growing child.
Experience :
During the training, you will gain hands-on experience by teaching part of a parent–baby class “live,” under the supervision of your Trainer.
Confidence :
Following the training, you will complete a certification process during which you will develop and deliver a five-session infant massage course for parents in your community or agency. You will also complete an open-book exam in order to qualify as a Certified Infant Massage Instructor (CIMI)*. Throughout this process, you will be supported by your Trainer at all times.
*In the US, Certified Infant Massage Educator (CEIM).
What will you be able to do after the training?
Upon completing the training, you will become an IAIM member and receive support from your local Chapter. As a trained instructor (educator), your first focus will be completing your certification process.
Once certified, you will be fully recognized by IAIM as a professional Infant Massage Instructor and will be able to teach parents and families in both private and group settings.
In addition to leading parent classes, you will be qualified to share information about infant massage within your community and present at professional conferences.
Teaching infant massage offers a deeply rewarding opportunity to strengthen parent–infant bonding, support babies’ physical well-being, and contribute to long-term positive emotional development within families.
The IAIM Instructor Training, originally designed by Vimala McClure, is regularly reviewed and updated by the IAIM Circle of Trainers. IAIM-qualified Trainers complete an extensive two-year training programme, following a minimum of five years of experience teaching parents (see “Become a Trainer” for more information).
